Here and Now/Yubikiri (Pinky Promise)
These are the beginning paragraphs to a short song fiction story I've decided to begin.
Dusk came slowly, but time was still moving too fast. The amber glow of the setting sun fell upon Tobias as he sat next to a window. It was a beautiful view, the birds were returning to their nests, the city streets had died down and few traversed the streets. The local general store was closing up as the manager began to click buttons on his cash register and take off his apron. The grocery store was filled with a dull, lazy buzz as the employees began to take down the canopy in front of the store. They joked and laughed with tired expressions as the crates of fruits and vegetables were taken inside. The red brick buildings were bathed in a bronze light that envied any sight in Spain or Italy. However, Tobias wasn't aware of the sight outside to his left at all. His attention was devoted to the young girl, no, woman rather, who was spilling her heart out through her melody. Tobias couldn't comprehend the words, and it didn't matter because he was too engulfed in the feeling the sound gave him to care. Others around him gazed at her and her flowing brown hair too, and Tobias was a bit jealous. What Tobias wanted most was to be the only one adoring her, but he also wished for her never to notice him. It was strange, never had Tobias so wanted to give his heart away to someone whom he didn't want to notice him at all. His heart skipped as she passed into another verse. It was a nostalgic feeling that made him feel young again. He felt light and happy, and open fields and open arms stretched out to him. It was so familiar..

If you kill it, I'll kill you. But the story's looking cute so far. I can't really tell with two paragraphs though. ;O I still think you should've used Edwin and Lilian. >.> :D
